Woori Financial Group’s Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation announced on the 28th that it will select 800 youth and college students from multicultural families as multicultural scholarship students in 2024 and provide scholarships worth a total of 1.54 billion won.
The Multicultural Scholarship is a representative project of the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation, which started in 2012 to support the academic advancement and development of special skills of children from multicultural families. So far, 8 billion won has been provided to 6,700 children from multicultural families.
In particular, starting this year, the number of scholarship recipients has been expanded from 600 to 800. In addition, in cooperation with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, we upgraded our multicultural scholarship program to the next level by awarding scholarships to 20 children of repatriated families who returned to Vietnam with their parents.
