Tiếng ViệtHyundai Mobis is investing in improving the competitiveness of its over 1,300 local partner companies here to ensure that the ecosystem producing parts for the automobile industry can grow together with the country’s major mobility solution provider, according to Hyundai Motor Company’s parts and service arm, Thursday.
Having partnered with 1,320 local companies, Hyundai Mobis supports them through its environmental-social-governance (ESG) policies, aimed at enhancing their technologies, production capabilities, and workplace environments.
In order to encourage companies to initiate more ESG campaigns and business activities, Hyundai Mobis has been educating the CEOs of its partner companies through events like Partners Day and conferences.
To enhance workplace environments and consequently boost manufacturing efficiency, Hyundai Mobis inspected the plants of 74 partner companies in 2022, proposed improvement measures, and disseminated these steps to other partners. Similarly, Hyundai Mobis conducted over 350 workplace safety seminars for its partner companies.
To enhance their research and development capabilities and enable the introduction of more new products and technologies, Hyundai Mobis has invested 63.4 billion won ($46.5 million) thus far. In 2022, the company shared 421 patented technologies with its partner companies and transferred an additional 30 patents to them. Furthermore, the company has provided access to its engineers and laboratories to assist these companies in their own technology research.
To bolster the manufacturing capabilities of its partner companies, Hyundai Mobis has been supporting the construction of local smart factories and the upgrading of existing plants to better align with contemporary technologies and meet the latest legal requirements. The company said that through such initiatives, its partner companies have experienced self-streamlining effects worth 21.7 billion won. Additionally, to provide its partner companies with a broader foundation for global marketing, the company has been supporting them in promoting themselves at global gatherings and connecting them with potential buyers.
As a result of these efforts, Hyundai Mobis received the highest grade from the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership last year, based on its performance in 2022. This marked the fifth consecutive honor for Hyundai Mobis.
